Bake Off's Prue Leith opens up about 13-year affair
The Great British Bake Off judge Prue Leith has opened up about her 13-year affair with husband Rayne Kruger.
Speaking about her first husband Rayne in the memoir Relish, Prue revealed how she began the affair with the husband of her mother's best friend before the pair eventually married (via Daily Mail).
"I never asked him to leave his wife because I was very happy," she said of Rayne's first wife, actress Nan Munro.

"I had none of the duties of life and all of the pleasures of somebody who loved me. I wasn't pressing for marriage. We did have 13 secret years and nobody ever guessed because we were discreet."
Writing in her book about how the two fell in love, Prue said that her mother sent her to stay with the family friends one summer in 1961.
"They were a fascinating, intelligent, generous and loving family. Nan, a successful actress, was usually at the theatre. So I saw more of Rayne than any of the others. Soon there was nothing I would rather do than be with Rayne. I told myself I was not falling in love with him, that he was out of bounds. And anyway, he loved Nan."

Prue went on to reveal that a surprise kiss between the two one night initiated their long romance, and that whilst she did feel guilty towards Nan, she was "utterly infatuated".
Rayne later left his wife to start a family with Prue and the pair remained together until his death in 2002.
