Badass Bond Girls, From ‘Dr. No’ to ‘Spectre’

The name’s Bond. James Bond. After 53 years, 24 films, and six actors portraying the titular role, the 007 franchise remains one of the longest-running and most stylish. But let’s face facts: Bond wouldn’t be Bond without the Bond girls. These leading ladies have changed up their looks through the decades, from bouffants and afros to mod liner and blood red lipstick, and held their own as undercover agents, scientists, diamond smugglers, psychics, astronauts, and more. This week Spectre arrives in theaters with Léa Seydoux as Dr. Madeleine Swann and Monica Bellucci, the oldest Bond girl yet at 51 years old, playing Lucia Sciarra. In honor of the new film, we’re taking a look back at the ladies of 007 — these characters prove you can be beautiful and a total badass, too.
