A new trailer for Edgar Wright’s ‘Baby Driver’ is here.
And it looks as though we’re in for some pretty groovy driving.
‘Baby Driver’ stars Ansel Elgort as Baby – a talented young getaway driver with ringing in his ears… who uses in iPod and some bitching tracks to keep his focus on the job. It’s made him the best in the business, but while he’s looking to get out, his old pal Doc is determined to keep him around for one last score.
But can he get away with his life?
“He had an accident when he was a kid,” explains Kevin Spacey’s Doc. “Still got a hum in the drum. He plays music to drown it out.”
And it sounds as though that’s made him the best in the business.
But when his last heist goes wrong, and crime boss Doc comes down hard on him, it’s going to take more than quick wits and a snappy soundtrack to get out of this one.
Here’s the official synopsis:
“A talented, young getaway driver (Ansel Elgort) relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. When he meets the girl of his dreams (Lily James), Baby sees a chance to ditch his criminal life and make a clean getaway. But after being coerced into working for a crime boss (Kevin Spacey), he must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.
It’s certainly the slickest tinnitus-related movie we’ve ever seen.
And it doesn’t look like a bad heist film, either.
‘Baby Driver’ stars Ansel Elgort, Lily James, Jon Hamm, Jamie Foxx, Eiza González, Jon Bernthal, and Kevin Spacey.
Edgar Wright both wrote and directed the movie.
‘Baby Driver’ heads to cinemas on 28 June 2017.
