Azmi Saat says goodbye to son three days after his birth
1 Oct – Just three days after expressing his joy in welcoming his first son Caliph Busker vocalist Azmi Saat and wife of ten years, Nazirah Muhammad, was revealed to have had to bid farewell to the newborn.
The news was confirmed by Azmi's manager Syah Rahman, who revealed that baby Khairul Afnan passed away on the afternoon of 30 September.
"After the breathing apparatus was taken off, Azmi and his wife were given the opportunity to care for baby Khairul Afnan until he breathed his last," he said.
As for the cause of death, Syah stated that he will let Azmi explain it himself, though expressed hope that everybody will give the singer some time to grieve the loss.
Azmi previously shared the sad news on Instagram, posting, "God loves him more. Afnan, please wait for us in heaven."
The singer and his wife had waited ten years to finally have their own child since tying the knot in 2011. Khairul Afnan was born on 27 September via C-section at a medical centre.
