5 Jan – Ayda Jebat recently expressed her apology after deciding not to visit her and her husband's families and friends and introduce their new baby to them.

The actress, who gave birth to her first child Ana Nayla in September last year, shared her apology on Instagram Story, saying that she and husband Nabil felt sorry that some may think their decision excessive.

"It's not that we don't want to see [everybody]. We missed you all very much, to laugh with you again. We would love to have you meet our child but it is more important for us to protect our family's safety and good health," she wrote.

She also shared a clip from a recent press conference made by Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin regarding the disregard of the COVID-19 SOPs by those who just arrived home from performing their umrah.

"We're not ready for it yet. God willing, maybe one day. Thank you to all who understand us. We love you and miss you all," she added.

Ayda and Nabil Mahir tied the knot on 1 January 2021.
