Awra Briguela denies was offered to join "Darna"
24 Jul - Child actor Awra Briguela has denied rumours that he has been cast in the upcoming female superhero movie, "Darna".
As reported on ABS-CBN News, previously tabloids reported that the "Ang Probinsyano" will be playing the role of Ding, who is the sidekick and younger brother of Narda - the human girl who is able to transform herself into the warrior Darna.
However, when asked about it recently, Briguela responded, "It's not true that I was offered to play Ding. I'm not expecting anything. I don't think I am Ding, because first of all, Ding is not gay."
He added, "His personality is different from Awra's personality."
Prior to Briguela, it was rumoured that Onyok Pineda - another child star of "Ang Probinsyano" was going to play the role.
