The nation’s love of avocado is still going strong.

Over the years, it’s resulted in the invention of various avocado-based products – from avocado beer to pre-sliced versions of our favourite green snack.

But now, London is finally getting its very own permanent avocado restaurant.

When avocado became the most obsessed over fruit of the 2010s, it was only a matter of time before a pop up appeared in Covent Garden dedicated to the green fruit.

And finally, after months of searching for the ideal spot, Avobar has now found permanent residence on nearby Henrietta Street.

Importantly, it’s opening on just a few weeks: August 24.

According to the Evening Standard, it’ll offer things like sweet potato ‘toast’ topped with smashed avocado.

Oh, and this will be served with delicious sides and dips such as homemade coconut labneh, beetroot houmous and feta.

Not to mention avocado burgers – ingredients sandwiched between two halves of an avocado – which broke the internet back in 2016.

Apparently there will be avocado-based skincare products for sale too, just in case you need to put avo on your outside as well as insides.

We can’t wait.
