Atom Araullo not saying no to more acting work

17 Apr – Although his first foray into acting did not go as smoothly as one would think, Filipino journalist Atom Araullo admitted that he is open to doing more acting work in the future.

As reported on Inquirer, Araullo, who made his film debut last year with Mike de Leon's "Citizen Jake", stated that he is now more informed about the going-ons in movie-making and would be happy to do it again.

"I'm not the type who closes a door on anything. You don't know what's going to happen in the future. Because I have already tried acting, it'll be easier for me to make the right decisions," he said.

Araullo stated that he realised that the concept of story-telling through a movie is different than that of a documentary - something that fascinates him thoroughly.

"I have always had respect for artists, but I have realised that what they do is harder than I thought," he added.

However, Araullo stressed that he will always put journalism first and foremost for now.
