Ashley Graham has candidly discussed the realities of postpartum recovery following the birth of her first child.
The model welcomed a son named Isaac with her husband Justin Ervin on 18 January, and taking to Instagram on Monday, shared a snap of herself posing in a bathroom while wearing a black top and grey disposable underwear.
"Raise your hand if you didn't know you'd be changing your own diapers too," she joked, as she sang the praises of disposable underwear. "No one talks about the recovery and healing (yes even the messy parts) new moms go through. I wanted to show you guys that it's not all rainbows and butterflies!"
Noting that it's "been tough", Ashley thanked her friends for helping her to talk honestly about her recovery after childbirth. She also wants other women to feel confident enough to discuss their own experiences.
"It's unbelievable the obstacles we still face talking about what women really go through," the 32-year-old added.
Ashley's famous friends rallied round to leave supportive comments on the Instagram post, including fellow model Amber Valletta and TV presenter Amanda de Cadenet.
"I'm sending you a care package this week and sending you so much (love)," she wrote.
