Get ready for exciting and fun activities that the ArtScience Museum has planned during the June holiday period.

You can start by catching the world premiere of Virtual Realms: Videogames Transformed from 12 June onwards. A multi-sensorial exhibition that re-imagines video games as a 21st century art form, the exhibition presents six large-scale and immersive installations developed by some of the world’s leading video game developers top media design studios.

Also, STAR WARS Identities: The Exhibition extends its final run at ArtScience Museum to 27 June!

Don’t miss the on-site programmes including the free Film Screenings: Wondrous Worlds, the hands-on Tote Bag Printing with Tell Your Children and Mini Holiday Camp: Digital Art.

Virtual Realms: Videogames Transformed *World premiere!

Making its global premiere at ArtScience Museum on 12 June, Virtual Realms: Videogames Transformed is a multi-sensorial exhibition that re-imagines videogames as a 21st century artform.

Co-curated by celebrated Japanese videogame designer, Tetsuya Mizuguchi, the exhibition brings six of the world’s leading videogame

developers together with top media design studios to collaborate on a series of largescale, immersive installations. Get ready to step into the realms of six new commissions that transport videogames from the screens into the galleries.

Virtual Realms is curated and organised by the Barbican in coproduction with ArtScience Museum and Melbourne Museum.

STAR WARS Identities: The Exhibition *Extended to 27 June!

Don’t miss your final chance to find your force at STAR WARS Identities: The Exhibition. Catch the extensive collection of close to 200 original Star Wars items from Lucasfilm Archives before the end of its global tour.

At the same time, embark on an interactive identity quest to gain new insights on Star Wars characters while discovering what force will shape your own identity.

Film Screenings: Wondrous Worlds

Catch a series of free film screenings that illuminate the rich inner worlds and imaginations of the young and young-at-heart!

In trying to make sense of the world around them through inventive means or forms of technology, these young protagonists take on experiences and adventures that turn their ordinary worlds, extraordinary.

Tote Bag Printing with Tell Your Children

  • 18 June, 6pm – 7pm @ Rainbow Room, Basement 2

  • $15 per participant. Up to 10 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Visitors are advised to pre-purchase tickets online prior to their visit

Learn more about silkscreen printing in this up-close and personal workshop session with local creative studio, Tell Your Children.

The session begins with an introduction on the techniques and processes of tote bag printing. At the end of the workshop, participants will take their customised tote bags back home!

Tell Your Children is a creative studio producing visual content through illustration and design. It has been proficient in working on mural projects, key visuals and branded content for local and international clients.

Mini Holiday Camp: Digital Art

  • 22 and 29 June, 2.30pm – 5pm @ Rainbow Room, Basement 2

  • $48 per participant. Ticket will include 1 accompanying parent/guardian

  • Recommended for 5 years old and above

  • Visitors are advised to pre-purchase tickets online prior to their visit

Venture into the world of art and technology this holiday at ArtScience Museum. A half-day camp with an interactive workshop and immersive play awaits you!

In the workshop, participants will be introduced to the world of programming and learn more about the basic concepts of coding! On top of that, participants will join a facilitated visit to Future World where they will discover the many different ways to engage with the digital artworks in the exhibition.
