Arnel Pineda wants biopic to push through

12 Dec – Although he is uncertain whether or not the Hollywood biopic about him will push through, Filipino singer and Journey's frontman Arnel Pineda admitted that he would love for the movie to happen.

Pineda, who spoke to ABS-CBN News recently, shared that he is set to meet with director Jon M. Chu and Warner Bros in the coming weeks to discuss the project, and will only able to share more details about it following the meeting.

"Personally, I want this to happen. It's good for us. It's good for the dreamers, to those like me who dream to make it big, or at least getting their talents recognised," he said.

Pineda also stated that he would love for the movie to open bigger doors for Filipinos and Asians.

In a previous report, Chu, who helmed the box office hit, "Crazy Rich Asians", shared that he was inspired by Pineda's journey from being a struggling musician in the Philippines to becoming the lead singer of one of America's biggest rock bands.
