19 Oct – Arjo Atayde has admitted that his recent Best Actor win at the Asian Academy Creative Awards has given him a boost of confidence in his showbiz career.
The actor, who won the accolade for his performance in the iWant series, "Bagman", shared his thoughts about the recognition on social media, writing, "Considering everything that has gone on this year, I was honestly close to giving up this craft I'm passionate about. But I'm taking this as a sign that things happen for a reason and what's meant to be will be."
"This recognition is mine as much as it is of all the people who made this possible," he added, and proceeded to thank several people including screenwriter and producer Deo Endrinal, Dreamscape, as well as Rein Entertainment for giving him the opportunity to star in the film.
"And ultimately, to my friend and my director Shugo Praico, this is your vision, I hopped in on it and it gave us this! [Thank you so much]... To the Asian Academy Creative Awards, thank you so much for this recognition. It is truly such an honour and I am beyond grateful... This means so much more to me than you I probably let on."
Atayde also urged fans and viewers alike to watch the said series on the said content platform.
