People have a lot of opinions about Ariel Winter.

The Modern Family actress is often accused of dressing too provocatively. She’s frequently body-shamed, while other trolls have mocked her for being “thirsty” for attention.

The negativity would be enough to send plenty of people running from social media screaming. While the 20-year-old has taken self-imposed Twitter time-outs, she’s back with a vengeance and an unapologetic attitude.

Just days after sharing a racy video of boyfriend Levi Meaden slathering her derrière with sunscreen (safety first, kids!), Winter posted a shot of herself sunbathing, with much of her backside exposed thanks to her thong bikini bottoms. (FYI: Per Winter, the scratch on her left cheek is courtesy of her dog.)

As if!

Unsurprisingly, the sexy snapshot has gained a lot of attention — some supportive, some less so.

Along with comments from Winter’s fans raving about her body confidence are trolling remarks like “I bet your daddy is proud of that picture” and “lose weight, fat a**.”

Oh, the internet.

Winter, who recently ended her break from Twitter over bullying comments, responded to one troll who suggested that she doesn’t have a right to “get mad” about being treated like a “piece of a**” since she decided to share revealing photos.

That argument didn’t sit well with the actress.

“I’m not saying you can’t be proud of your body, girl, Im just saying that is what some people will see you as,” the commenter persisted in a follow-up tweet.

Too bad. As one Winter supporter noted, it’s her right to wear what she likes — and if people want to body-shame or make innuendoes about her character, that’s their problem.

“Posting photos like this means she owns her own body and is proud of it,” the fan argued. “That doesn’t mean she has to be happy about paparazzi and negative comments. It means that she ALSO has some control over what others see and hear about her.”

And if you’re going to hate, expect Winter to pipe up.
