Finally, some hard news on the Wonder Woman 2 front: Warner Bros. announced on Wednesday that the sequel will officially be called Wonder Woman 1984. That's very exciting and all, but since we already knew it was set in the '80s, it's not exactly as surprising as this next bit of information. Are you ready? Sit down.
Steve Trevor is back! The press release from the studio confirmed this both in writing and with a photo of Chris Pine in Steve Trevor gear, which is great news for everyone who was really worried that Diana's handsome lover had been exploded to bits somewhere above the German sky. Look how well he rocks a dad shoe!
Additionally, Warner Bros. shared a few details about where the movie will shoot. In the U.S., locations include Washington, D.C. and Alexandria, Virginia, and elsewhere, production will take place in the U.K., Spain, and the Canary Islands. It seems possible that the Canary Islands could stand in for Diana's home island of Themyscira, but don't get your hopes up - the first movie's Themyscira scenes were shot on Italy's Amalfi Coast.
And lastly, there's this new photo of Diana standing in front of a wall of very '80s-looking TVs. It's all happening!
Wonder Woman 1984 hits theaters Nov. 1, 2019.
