'Suits' reveals two major clues for Meghan Markle and Patrick J. Adams' exits

Could this be how Rachel and Mike get written off from the USA Network legal drama?

Warning: Spoiler alert! Do not proceed if you have not watched Wednesday's episode of Suits.

After tonight, only three episodes of Suits remain before we say goodbye to Meghan Markle and Patrick J. Adams.

While we got a small idea of how they could be written off the show, Wednesday's episode provided two very big clues as to how Markle and Adams could ride off into the sunset. But before we get into that, here's what we do know: There will be a big wedding between Markle's Rachel Zane and Adams' Mike Ross, and all their closest friends and family will be in attendance, as teased in the first official photos from the big day.

So, what hints did the latest episode of Suits drop regarding Rachel and Mike's future? In the closing minutes, Rachel and Mike offered up two extremely intriguing options -- all hypothetical, for now anyway -- once they say "I do": A) Mike's plan: They'd move to San Diego, run a clinic and work two hours a day, or B) Rachel's vision: They'd venture to Iceland and live there for a year. Hmm. Could one of these destinations be where they end up by the April 25 finale?

But they didn't get to that point without navigating through choppy waters. In preparation for the big day, the couple visited Father Walker at the church and were tasked with filling out a form about their future together. While Rachel completed the form without issue, Mike had a, shall we say, more difficult time picturing what the future looked like.

"I didn't fill it out because I can't answer questions about the future because I don't know what I want. I'm not a planner," Mike said, trying to explain his position to Rachel, later admitting that putting pen to paper about future plans made him feel "locked in." "Well, I am, and when I looked at it, I realized I have spent so much time worrying about trying keep you out of prison and how to get into the bar that I never stopped to wonder if we want the same things," Rachel fired back.

"All I'm saying is why can't we live our lives for a while and see what happens?" Mike asked, presenting a reasonable counter. Turns out, their argument was actually a good thing! Father Walker explained that he worried most about the couples whose answers seemed to align, saying that their honesty was exactly the reason why they're a step ahead.

Later, Mike and Rachel have a real heart-to-heart about their future -- all under the guise of the game "Bullsh*t," where they're free to dream up future plans without being beholden to them. For now, anyway.

"We live in San Diego. We get a job running the clinic," Mike envisioned. "We surf every morning, work two hours a day and love each other all night." Meanwhile, Rachel had a more international destination in mind for her "hypothetical" suggestion. "Iceland," she said, revealing that she's "been there before." "It is one of the most beautiful places in the world, and living there together for a year would be the adventure of a lifetime."

Will San Diego or Iceland (or, perhaps, something/somewhere else) be enough to take them away from the cozy, familiar confines of New York City? We'll have to wait and see.

Last week, Adams spoke to ET's Keltie Knight about filming Mike and Rachel's wedding ceremony, calling the whole experience "surreal."

“I know it was one of the most surreal days ever," Adams said of the nuptials. "Meghan and I have been so close from the beginning of the show, so to finally get to that moment was really great. And to have the rest of the cast there and supporting and I think we shot -- I think the only tease is that we were shooting it until about seven in the morning. So if you see some bleary-eyed people, that’s probably why.”

Suits airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on USA Network.
