As the wildfires continue to spread and displace thousands of people and animals in California, many organizations need support. Here are a few ways to help those affected by the wildfires:

Provide a place to stay

Airbnb launched a webpage where you can donate a spare room to a fire evacuee or rescue worker, and you can provide a free place to stay here.

Help the animals

Give money to the Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation, which will support various shelters' relief efforts.

Give non-perishable food

If you're not in a position to donate money, you can donate non-perishable food items to the Salvation Army Ventura Corps, which is providing food and shelter to victims and first responders.

Donate money

There are many places in need of financial support, including the United Way Disaster Relief Fund, the Ventura County Community Foundation's Hill Fire and Woolsey Fire Sudden and Urgent Needs Effort Fund, and of course American Red Cross. You can also donate directly to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Volunteer your time

If you are in Butte County,CA, Caring Choices is currently looking for medical volunteers. If that doesn't apply to you, you can keep and eye out for volunteer opportunities via California Volunteers.

Stay safe, all!
