1 May - Filipino-American rapper Apl.de.ap recently denied endorsing any candidates of the upcoming Philippines' presidential election.

The Black Eyed Peas member, real name Allan Pineda Lindo, recently took to Twitter to deny his involvement, after an image of him was used to campaign for Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. and his running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.

"Not me," he responded to a question by a netizen, who shared a few snaps that painted him as a supporter of Marcos.

At the same time, he also denied supporting any candidate at all, tweeting, "Country over party. Not endorsing any candidate."

It is noted that there have been videos alleging that Apl was supporting the UniTeam, that is the electoral alliance of four political parties that support the candidacies of Marcos and Duterte.

However, upon further look, it was revealed that the man seen in videos of Apl allegedly performing at these campaign events was just an impersonator.
