Although the nature of the project is still unclear, A$AP Rocky teased that "Babushka Boi" is "coming soon."
On August 26, the rapper unveiled a mysterious trailer for "Babushka Boi," which seems to draw inspiration from the 1990 film "Dick Tracy."

The visual opens with the question "Why does this black boy wear a babushka?", alluding to Rocky's recent penchant for headscarves.
Late last year, the rapper made fashion headlines when he started to wear silk headscarves or "babushkas" during his public appearances.
The video sees gangster villains questioning his unconventional headgear, while Rocky tap-dances in a baggy plaid suit.
Although the trailer does not specify what "Babushka Boi" is, the rapper teased a new song titled "Babushka" during his Injured Generation tour earlier this year.
Last January, he shared details about the inspiration behind the song in an interview to GQ.
"It was inspired by a situation I had where my face got cut, and I started walking around with a Babushka to cover it. It was about last September. It started with a yellow one when I was on Trevor Noah's show. I actually did a Vogue shoot the day after I got my face slashed," he explained.
A$AP Rocky dropped his last album, "Testing," in May 2018. Since then, he has collaborated with A$AP Ferg for "Pups" and Jaden for his new album, "Erys."
