Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL35) will go on

16 Feb –After a month of postponement due to the government-mandated Movement Control Order (MCO), it was revealed that the highly-anticipated Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL35) will be broadcast live on 14 March.

The news was confirmed by Datuk Khairul Anwar Salleh, the CEO of Media Prima Berhad & Primeworks Studios, who said that the singing competition has finally received the approval from the National Security Council (MKN).

"We are ready to organise AJL35 in the new normal. The spread of the pandemic has made us more responsible in prioritising the health of our staff, the artistes, as well as those who are involved in the production," he said.

"We will use this benefit that was given by MKN to make detailed plans to ensure that this prestigious event will be smooth sailing."

However, nothing is set in stone, said Khairul Anwar, as it will all rely on the changes that the government could make depending on the situation concerning the COVID-19 pandemic.
