Anthony Wong: I won't scold people for playing on their phone

8 Apr – While many praised Eason Chan for scolding some university students at his university tour recently, Hong Kong actor Anthony Wong believes that there is a better way for the singer to face phone-addicted people, as reported on Singtao Daily.

Earlier this week, Eason made the news after expressing his displeasure towards some students of a Hong Kong university and asking them to leave for not paying attention to the exchange they had when Eason and his band came for a visit as part of his "Love in F.R.A.M.E.S" university tour.

The outburst happened after the singer realised that some of the students were busy looking at their phones and taking photos instead of participating in the discussion.

When asked to give his two cents about the incident recently, Anthony said that he might have approached it differently given the situation.

This is the case in our society now, and [Eason] will not be able to change the situation," he said.

Asked what he would do if he was in Eason's situation, the actor said that he would play along with the students.

"I would ask the other party how much money he or she is making on the phone, how many billions, what is the market situation, and ask them to give me some tips. Make it awkward for the other party and everyone can laugh along," he said.
