Ant-Man Director Teases Where To Find Hidden Easter Eggs

Marvel films are always chock full of references to the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and ‘Ant-Man’ is no different.

Some references in the film are pretty in your face, but there are a few so well hidden that director Peyton Reed has offered a few clues as to where to look out for them.

Speaking to Collider Reed said: “I think that anytime you’re in Hank Pym’s beautiful Victorian house in San Francisco, you want to look around the room. You might notice certain details that sort of talk about his history and his experimentation with the Pym particle. There might be some miniaturized objects all around the room.

“When newspapers appear on screen, there are a couple newspapers that appear,“ he adds. "There is a main thing when I do an insert of a newspaper that you want to look at for the story. There also might be some other things in the margins of that newspaper that are interesting.”

His final clue might be considered a plot spoiler for some. I’ve edited the quote slightly so it’s less of a spoiler.

“There is an event that happens to Scott Lang in the third act of the movie. He goes [to an unusual place]. And when he goes into that place, I don’t think Scott Lang sees it. But if you’re sharp, you might see something or someone in that environment.”

These Easter Eggs are so well hidden that I didn’t actually notice any of them first time round, which probably means I should see the film again. Thankfully the film is so great I’d be happy to.

'Ant-Man’ is in cinemas from today.
