Annie Ngai refutes Tony Wong's allegations of child abuse

21 Aug – Former actress Annie Ngai has recently refuted comic artist Tony Wong's allegations against her, after the latter countered her claims that he has been abusive towards their autistic son, Royce.

As reported on Mingpao, Annie recently took to social media to address Tony's allegations that she was the one who had physically harmed their 18-year-old son back when she was still taking care of him.

Said Annie, Royce has become thinner and had significant weight loss since being cared for by Tony's side of the family, following their return to Hong Kong from Singapore in May 2015.

She also alleged through several enlarged photos, that there were also many wounds spotted on his body, which she concluded to be the result of physical harm.

Annie later uploaded a number of receipts and text messages to disprove allegations made by Tony that she misused the money he gave to her for Royce's expenses, claiming that all of the expenses were not reimbursed by him.

One of the screenshots of the conversations that she posted, and was believed to be from Tony, read, "If the mother wants to buy extra items for her son, the mother should use her own money. If the mother wants the father to pay, she must [get the permission] from the father."

Following the exposure, Tony issued a statement saying that Annie has committed a serious violation of privacy, and that he will urge the court to given him full custody of Royce as soon as possible.

Annie and Tony started dating back in 1998, and had Royce in 2000 before ending their relationship in 2004. The actress had been taking care of their son in Singapore since their split, before Tony took over in 2015 when the mother and son returned to Hong Kong.
