"Anita" boasts a star-studded cast
20 Aug – After announcing Wang Danni (Louise Wong) as the star of the upcoming biopic, "Anita", the producers of the said film finally decided to announce the rest of the cast of the movie.
As reported on Mingpao, in the latest trailer released recently, it was revealed that the new movie, which is based on the life of legendary singer Anita Mui, boasts a star-studded cast that includes Louis Koo, Gordon Lam, Carlos Chan, Miriam Yeung, Ram Chiang, Fish Liew and Terrance Lau Chun Him - the latter who will play the role of good friend Leslie Cheung.
Louis Koo, who plays the role of Anita's image designer and mentor Eddie, expressed his admiration for the late singer in the said trailer, saying that Anita really cared for others.
"Anita inspired us with her determination and spirit. She never gave up. She did what she's determined to do. Nothing could stop her," he expressed.
As for Gordon Lam who plays the role of Capital Artists Record Company general manager Mr. So, stated, "A star can be born from time to time. A legend, however, is rare, and she's the epitome of goodness. She delivered the best to her audience within the shortest amount of time."
The upcoming movie is set to be released in November.
