Angelababy wants her kids to be proud of her
28 Sep – Angelababy admitted that the reason why she took the role in her new show, "A Murderous Affair in Horizon Tower" was for the sake of her son and future children.
As reported on Epoch Times, the actress who sat down for an interview recently, admitted that she used to accept any jobs back when she just started in the business just to gain experience. This, however, had subjected her to lots of criticism about her acting.
"But after becoming a mother, my protective nature naturally comes out. Being in this line of business, I hope that when my children grow up, they won't be hearing people telling them that their mother can't do anything," she said, adding that was the reason why she decided to accept her role in the said project despite its challenging nature.
It was a great decision, as it turned out, as the award-winning actress Zhang Ziyi had since praised Angelababy's performance in the show.
Asked about her thoughts on Zhang's comments, the actress said that she first saw the post on Weibo after working the whole day.
"I didn't think about it that much. But that night, as I laid in bed, I read it again and was so excited. I even sent a message to the director and told him how happy and excited I was," she said, adding that Zhang's support was like a "light" to her career.
