3 Jul – Angel Locsin recently took to social media to express her frustration over the current situation surrounding the shutdown of ABS-CBN and other related issues, and is urging the government to start focusing on what's more important.
As reported on Inquirer, the actress went on Instagram Stories and posted an open letter on Instagram Story, which was addressed "to whom it may concern", writing, "Make sure you have plans for the many workers and business owners who lost their income."
"They have so much time to put pressure on ABS-CBN, renaming the [Ninoy Aquino International Airport] airport and the anti-terrorist bill. But what we need to hear is the plan regarding COVID-19 and the frontliners, plans on education for the poor who have no access to the internet or who will teach at home, the back to the province program, OFWs who have been stranded in other countries, plans for those who lost their jobs."
Locsin stated that there are a lot of people that are in need of the government's help, including senior citizens and jeepney drivers who have to turn to begging on the streets, and that the rebuilding post-pandemic should also be given a priority.
