Angel Locsin thanks Forbes Asia for philanthropy list
6 Dec– Angel Locsin recently went on social media to thank Forbes Asia for choosing her to be a part of its annual Heroes of Philanthropy list.
As reported on Rappler, the actress retweeted the magazine's previous post about her relief efforts, and wrote, "I never thought [Forbes Asia] would ever mention my name, lol. Thank you!"
"Filipinos have always been known for "bayanihan". I'm nowhere near from being a billionaire, but I try my best to do my part in my own little way," she added.
Loscin also expressed hope that her work will inspire other people to help as well.
The magazine previously listed Locsin alongside other philanthropists like Chinese tycoon Jack Ma and SM Prime's Hans Sy for her charitable donations to various causes and reliefs, including the Mindanao earthquake survivors and the victims of tropical storm Ondoy.
On the other hand, fiancé Neil Arce also shared a post about Locsin's inclusion in the Forbes list and wrote, "My strong independent woman! I'm proud of you, my love!"
