Ang Lee's new movie to premiere at NYFF

24 Aug - The highly-anticipated Ang Lee project, "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk", is set to premiere at the New York Film Festival (NYFF).

As reported on CRI News, the full-length movie, the first of its kind to be shot in 4K, native 3D at the ultra-high rate of 120 frames-per-second, will be making its debut at the festival on 14 October.

However, its faster format meant that the world premiere will be held at a relatively small theatre at the AMC Lincoln Square, with just 300 seats, according to New York Times.

Adapted from Ben Fountain's novel and starring Joe Alwyn, Kristen Stewart, Chris Tucker, Vin Diesel and Steve Martin among the few, "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk" is about a hero in the Iraq war, who goes on a victory tour that ends with a halftime show at a Thanksgiving football game with fellow veterans, after a harrowing battle.

The 54th New York Film Festival will take place from 30 September 30 to 16 October 2016 at the Film Society of Lincoln Center.
