Ang Lee to return to Taiwan for Golden Horse Awards

24 Nov – Taiwanese filmmaker Ang Lee is set to make his return home to Taiwan this week to appear at the 54th Golden Horse Awards.

As reported on Focus Taiwan, the Golden Horse Executive Committee announced recently that the "Brokeback Mountain" director is set to go on stage to present the award for Best Leading Actress at the event, which will be held at the National Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall.

He will be accompanied by Hollywood actress Jessica Chastain, who is visiting Taiwan and coming to the event for the first time.

This year's nominees for the aforementioned category are Kara Hui ("The Bold, The Corrupt, and The Beautiful"), Shu Qi ("The Village of No Return"), Vicky Chen ("Angel Wears White"), Ivy Yin ("The Island that All Flow By"), and Sylvia Chang ("Love Education").

The upcoming Golden Horse Awards will be held on 25 November.
