Andy Lau has high hopes for "The Trading Floor"

25 May – With his new produced miniseries "The Trading Floor" airing on FOX and streaming via Tencent Video, producer Andy Lau admitted that he has high hopes that the five-episode drama will do well with audiences.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor who appeared at the press conference of the said financial thriller recently, shared that the story was create by a group of television people who were passionate about their dreams but failed to get their project out there, after the television station they worked for failed to get the license needed for broadcast.

"The themes in Hong Kong television is not as broad as the United States. It takes a lot of time to balance each role and to find actors. Whether it would be successful or not, I will continue to produce it," he said.

Andy also expressed his gratitude to Fox Network Groups for the company's decision to invest in the project.

When asked if he would star in the second season of the series if it does well in the first one, Andy laughed and said, "Maybe."

"The Trading Floor" stars Francis Ng, Albert Cheung, Law Kar Ying, and Mark Cheung as four financial giants who manipulate the financial market for profit.
