Andy Lau and Donnie Yen sing praises for each other

20 Sep - Working together for the first time through the upcoming movie, "Chasing the Dragon", Andy Lau and Donnie Yen admitted that they have always wanted to cooperate with each other.

As reported on Mingpao, the two stars who appeared at a press conference to promote the upcoming film, shared that they have quietly observed each other's work for the last 35 years, and that "Chasing the Dragon" came to them at the right time in their respective careers.

Donnie joked, "For 35 years, I have always thought that Andy is a good-looking man. But it was only after seeing him face to face that I realised that he is extremely handsome."

"In fact, I have become handsomer," Andy responded.

The Hong Kong star, on the other hand, shared that he started paying attention to Donnie even while he was still doing television, after realising how unique Donnie is in terms of his style and movements in martial arts.

Andy also added that he hopes to be able to work with Donnie again in the future, and have more action scenes with the actor after his full rehabilitation.

At the same time, he stressed that Donnie's performance as '70s criminal Crippled Ho in the movie is strong enough to warrant him a nomination at the Hong Kong Film Awards.
