Amy Schumer posted a behind-the-scenes of her “Formation” spoof with Goldie Hawn and it is as perfect as they are

We may not know the name of Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn’s new movie, if but this behind the scenes moment is an indication of it’s awesomeness, we’re all in. On location filming the mother-daughter comedy, the two blond beauties posted this “Formation” spoof and it’s giving us friendship goals in a real way.

With Beyonce’s “Formation” playing on the phone, Amy, Goldie, and all the ladies on the set dance, twerk, and drop the beat like only they can. Some of the folks in the video know a little more about Bey’s “Formation” than others, and Goldie and Joan Cusack need more coaching than the others. However, they are all terribly good sports.

Amy co-wrote the comedy with her sister and Katie Dippold and shot the comedy in Hawaii. Amy told Vanity Fair that the movie follows her character after her boyfriend dumps her and she takes her mom (Goldie Hawn) on their non-refundable trip to South America, instead.

Then, Amy fangirled out, saying, “It’s a Goldie Hawn movie and she’s gorgeous. Goldie … Hawn! I don’t remember the first time I didn’t love her!”

Their “Formation” spoof is just a small piece of evidence that the funny ladies got along famously. While shooting, Amyand Goldie were joined on location by Goldie’s daughter and Amy’s new best friend Kate Hudson. And it looks like they had the time of their lives.

It doesn’t seem like anybody would need to be convinced to work with Amy Schumer, but if you’re Goldie Hawn, and have been retired from movie-making for 14 years, you don’t get as star struck as the rest of us.

Turns out, there’s a funny story about how Amy Schumer convinced her to do the movie.

“I met [Hawn] on an airplane a couple of years ago and told her there’s a movie I really want to make with her,” Amy Schumer told the Los Angeles Times. “And she was very nice. ‘OK, honey.’ She probably thought I was a psycho. ‘OK, crazy person.’ Then I’d meet her at different things, saying, ‘We’re making this movie together,’ and I think, eventually, some people got in her ear and told her I wasn’t crazy, that I make things.”

This awkward exchange turned into excellent comedic chemistry, and gave us this “Formation” parody as a gift. Until the movie comes out next spring, we’ll just have to watch this over and over.
