Amy Schumer Is Due at the Same Time as Meghan Markle So Get Ready for 2 Royal BBs

Amy Schumer is pregnant with a baby, much like I am pregnant with a giant wheel of cheese. Yay! The comedian (who has a new special on Netflix that you should watch ASAP) is expecting her first child with her husband Chris Fischer. And true to her reputation, she's been extremely candid about her journey into motherhood-the good, the bad, and the super barf-y.

Here's what you need to know about Amy's pregnancy and due date, and how she's incorporated this new life chapter into her comedy. Starting with the fact that she flawlessly showed up on Late Night with Seth Meyers wearing a giant fake baby bump on top of her real baby bump:

Her Pregnancy Has Been Super Tough

Amy has been dealing with hyperemesis gravidarum, which is basically severe morning sickness (quick, another royal comparison: Kate Middleton suffered from it, too). The condition caused Amy to miss multiple shows and she was even briefly hospitalized.

"I am in the hospital," she posted to Instagram back in November. "I’m fine. Baby’s fine but everyone who says the 2nd trimester is better is not telling the full story. I’ve been even more ill this trimester. I have hyperemesis and it blows. Very lucky to be pregnant but this is some bullsh*t!"

Amy was so determined to return to her tour schedule that she performed despite vomiting on the way to a November show and right after a December show. Warning: these videos aren't something to watch during your lunch break!

Casual: She Was Arrested During Her Pregnancy

(And for a good reason!) Amy was arrested while protesting Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court. Her pregnancy actually motivated her to protest and make her voice heard; the baby, she explained, was "all the more reason I wanted to go."

In fact, she's often made it clear that her child is a huge source of motivation when it comes to her social and political activism:

Her Due Date Is Right Around Meghan Markle's Due Date

We know that nugget of info thanks to Growing, where Amy confirmed, "I'll tell you who it's not fun to be pregnant at the exact same time as...Meghan Markle. I think we're, like, to the day the same amount pregnant."

Meghan is due in April, so Amy could give birth any day now.

Speaking of, Meghan Is Her Nemesis

"Why is she my nemesis?" Amy asked during an InStyle video. "Because she’s pregnant at the same time as me and I'm not going to let her get away with that. So maybe I’m feeling competitive, like, 'Oh, Meghan looks better than me and she has a tiny small bump and she’s wearing high heels, and I already look 10 months pregnant and I’ve been wearing flats for the last four years.'"

Amy confirmed as much in a Twitter post, saying, "We’re so excited to say that we don’t care what the baby’s gender is. However the baby identifies is fine. Whatever the baby’s sexuality is. Any way the baby identifies is cool with us as long as it doesn’t identify as a DJ ’cause that’s heartbreaking."
