Weekend Guide (9-11 March): I Light Marina Bay, Singapore Design Week

This weekend, indulge in some ’90s nostalgia, learn something at the museum, and be dazzled by the annual illuminated art installations at Singapore’s iconic Marina Bay and Esplanade Park.

The annual lights show is back with more art installations extending beyond Marina Bay into the Esplanade Park. Considered to be Asia’s leading sustainable light art festival, with 22 light art installations by local and international artists, the event also includes the Art-Zoo and numerous food stalls to keep the whole family entertained.

I Love 90s Concert

Fans of everything 1990s are in for a huge treat with this line-up of music’s hottest acts from those years, such as 911, 5ive and S Club (formerly S Club 7). Fans will enjoy a night full of dancing and nostalgia celebrating songs that defined a generation.

Singapore Design Week

This year’s event returns with a design and heritage trail around spaces perfect for Instagram-worthy shots. There will also be the International Furniture Fair and the anchoring Singaplural show at the National Design Centre.

Ice Cream Sundays: Boogie At The Barracks

Our favourite party returns with more funky tunes and delicious cocktails at Singapore’s art enclave Gillman Barracks. The lineup of DJs includes Mugic Soundsystem and Adam Searle. Along with the disco and house beats will be food and plenty of art to check out.
