Elizabeth Banks reunites with James Gunn for horror movie

Elizabeth Banks will be working with James Gunn again for a new horror movie.

8 Mar – "Slither" actress Elizabeth Banks has signed on to star in an upcoming untitled horror movie produced by James Gunn.

It will be helmed by David Yarovesky, director of 2015's horror movie "The Hive", according to Deadline.

Plot details of the movie have yet to be revealed but it is known that H Collective will be financing the project and producing alongside Gunn's Troll Court Entertainment.

This project marks Banks and Gunn's reunion after 12 years. The two last worked together in Gunn's "Slither", back in 2006.

Gunn posted a Facebook status regarding the reunion with Banks, "Many of you know Elizabeth Banks has been one of my close friends ever since she starred in my directorial debut "Slither" (2006 movie).

"What most of you don't know is that we have tried repeatedly to team up again since that time - or, more accurately, I have tried to get her to do something in almost every movie I've made since then, but the project was never exactly right for her."

The upcoming horror movie will begin production this spring and is set for a 2020 release.
