Hurricane Matthew caused a lot of destruction, but one man has shown us that it was still no match for the metal spirit.

Redheaded Floridian Lane Pittman was happy to provide us all with an example during the big storm. Pittman, who previously achieved viral fame thanks to a video of him playing a righteous rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner” with his electric guitar on Independence Day (for which he was arrested), is back again to give the people what they want: more metal moments.

According to Orlando Weekly, Pittman was asked by his fans to bless Hurricane Matthew with another display. “Had a request for some hair action during the ‘cane. I granted it,” he said. The result? A video of Pittman standing in the middle of the storm in a pair of shorts, shirtless and barefoot, holding a giant American flag as his red tresses billow in Matthew’s high-speed winds. In the background, Slayer’s “Raining Blood” plays as Pittman stands firm, flipping and whipping his hair, a metal god among us mere mortals.

To this brave (and slightly foolish) American hero, we say keep giving ’em hell! Rock on, Lane Pittman!
