Amazon unveils ‘try before you buy' service
Amazon is poised to launch a new program that will let you try on clothes before you buy them, as it moves to bolster its growing retail footprint.
The service, dubbed "Amazon Prime Wardrobe", was revealed today but is currently in beta and has not yet launch, although interested parties can now sign up to be notified of its official launch.
Boasting a large selection of women's, men's and kids collections, and styles from brands such as Calvin Klein, Levi's, Adidas, Timex, Theory, Hugo Boss, Lacoste, J Brand, Milly, Parker and more, Amazon's Prime Wardrobe will allow millions of Prime members to order fashions to try on at home, keeping only what they want.
As WWD reports, there is no minimum or fee beyond Prime membership, returns can be left at the front door, where the box will be picked up, and shipping is free both ways — thanks to a resealable return box with a prepaid shipping label.
Additionally, shoppers get a 10% discount for keeping three or four items and a 20% discount off five or more pieces.
