Brussels sprouts; you either love them or hate them. If you fall into the former category then you’ll be thrilled to know that Amazon has launched a limited-edition Brussels sprout ketchup.

That’s right, you read that correctly.

The British sauce maker, Sauce Shop, has partnered with Amazon to create the ultimate festive condiment.

Each bottle (£3) contains around 15 whole British sprouts and it’s blended with cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg, which makes it taste quite like braised cabbage.

The vegan sauce is best enjoyed with your Christmas dinner, according to the condiment connoisseurs. The recipe was created by the Sauce Shop to work in a Christmas sandwich, as a dip with canapés and even as a cool addition to the classic cheese board.

This sauce isn’t just a great novelty present idea, either. One Brussels sprout contain more vitamin C than an entire orange (unfortunately, we’re not talking about Terry’s Chocolate Oranges).

They’re also full of nutrients and antioxidants, which is even more reason to pick up the pretty reasonably priced bottle.

The ketchup would make a perfect addition to any sprout-lover’s stocking - although, perhaps make sure the lid is on tightly first.

It is, however, only around for a limited time only. We suspect there’s not much calling for Brussels sprout ketchup in the height of summer.

The cool packaging comes courtesy of Sauce Shop, which has a reputation for its craft condiments and aesthetically-pleasing bottles.

Speaking about the collaboration, Amazon.co.uk’s Director Of Groceries, James Bate, said: “We’re sure this delicious ketchup will change the minds of some of the humble sprout’s harsher critics and hope to see it added to festive feasts and slipped into Christmas stockings nationwide.”

It’s available to pre-order today and it’ll be shipped on 2 December, arriving with you in plenty of time for Christmas.
