Can you hear it playing faintly on the wind? There's a "brand new life, brand new life around the bend" because it was just confirmed that a Who's the Boss? sequel show is in the works. Even better, OG cast members Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano are on board to star and executive produce. Our nostalgic hearts are ready.

According to The Hollywoood Reporter, the series will be a true sequel, picking up with the same characters decades later. Milano and Danza will play their same roles, the daughter and father Samantha and Tony Micelli. In the Who's the Boss? sequel, Samantha is now a single mother living in the home where the original show was set. It will follow her relationship with her now-retired dad, Tony.

The on-screen father-daughter duo both announced the Who's the Boss? sequel on their Instagram pages yesterday, August 4th.

After the big announcement, complete with emergency alert emojis, Milano explained why now was the right time to bring back the sitcom, which ran on ABC from 1984 until 1992.

"We feel the time is right to tell the story of where these amazing characters are today. Can’t wait to share their stories with you. So happy," she wrote, alongside a still from Who's the Boss? with her and Danza.

Danza shared the same still, along with another photo with Milano, on his Instagram. "Very excited to bring Who’s The Boss back to television!" he wrote.

The original show centered on Tony, who got hurt as a major league baseball player and ended up working as a live-in housekeeper for Angela, a divorced ad exec. So far, OG cast members Judith Light (who played Angela) and Danny Pintauro (who played Jonathan) haven't yet signed on for the sequel. Katherine Helmond, who starred as Angela's mother, Mona, passed away in 2018.

The Who's the Boss? sequel is really hitting us in our childhood feelings, but, more importantly, maybe we'll finally get an answer to who really was the boss. (Ahem, Angela. It was Angela.)
