Alvin Lai: Nothing can break S.H.E up!
16 Jul – Alvin Lai, husband of Taiwanese singer Ella Chen has dismissed the idea that her departure from H.I.M. International will lead to the disbandment of S.H.E. as a group.
As reported on Epoch Times, the businessman who addressed reports that Ella will be leaving the company, said that while he and his wife will be establishing a new company, they are still going to collaborate with H.I.M. International.
"The contract is coming soon, but I haven't talked in depth with the company yet or discuss about the future," he said, adding that they have yet to finalise a future cooperation between their company and the music label.
As for reports of a possible disbandment of S.H.E., Alvin responded that not even the biggest typhoon will be able to break the trio up.
"She will be taking a short break from work soon. When the time comes, she will announce it herself," he said.
As to why Ella is leaving H.I.M., Alvin said that the singer now has different priorities than before.
"She has a family now. Taking into account that we have a child and other reasons, she has to make some adjustments at work," he said.
As for reports that the singer wants to focus on expanding her acting career in mainland China, Alvin said that he is unsure where the rumours came from.
