Get Out and Girls actress Allison Williams shocked the world with her new blonde ‘do recently. But, while everyone raves about how much they love the change, the Connecticut native isn’t really feeling it. Allison first debuted the look on her Allure cover this month. It’s the complete opposite from the 28-year-old’s natural brunette locks, and we totally thought it worked for her.

But, as we know, going blonde also means dealing with a dryer texture. And Allison is so not here for it.

In her interview with Stephen Colbert, Allison talks a bit about why going blonde may have been a mistake.

“Do you shock yourself when you look into the mirror?” Colbert asked Allison about her new look. “Constantly,” she responded with a smile.

Allison revealed that she dyed her hair for the magazine cover, and as a way to let go of her Girls character Marnie.

“And by the way,” Allison continued, “…no, I do not have more fun. I am a ball of hair-related anxiety. It feels different…It is dryer, and I just wouldn’t recommend it.”

Colbert then suggested that Allison do a hot oil treatment to combat the dryness. Which, we have to say, is pretty awesome advice!

It doesn’t sound like Allison will keep the blonde much longer. But we can’t wait to see what other looks she experiments with in the future! They say that when a woman changes her hair, she’s about to change her life. So, we can bet that Allison is on to something big.
