This morning Meryl Streep received her 19th Oscar nomination for Into the Woods. Unlike her witchy character, she is very much a queen when it comes to these proceedings. No other actress has received as many nominations (Katharine Hepburn came closest with 12, while Bette Davis received 10), which deserves an award in itself. She has brought home the golden statuette three times—in 1979, 1982, and 2011, respectively—and thankfully shows no signs of slowing down. With the exception of the 1991 ceremony, Streep attended every Academy Awards gala where her name was on the bill. Here is a quick look back at her Oscar-worthy looks from over the years.
