Aljur Abrenica chooses to be happy despite separation
2 Aug – Despite no longer together, Aljur Abrenica recently stated that he will continue to be a good father to his two sons that he shares with actress Kylie Padilla, Inquirer reported.
The actor, who spoke about his separation from his wife in a group interview to promote his new movie, "Nerisa", stated that it is always a choice for him whether to be happy or not when it comes to his personal life.
"My family is always a priority. So, for everyone's sake - my kids, myself - I will always choose to be happy, because if I'm not okay, everything else won't be," said Aljur, who has two children with Kylie named Alas Joaquin and Axl Romeo.
As for now, Aljur said that his goal is to improve his acting and disprove his critics.
On the other hand, actress Erin Ocampo, who was unwittingly dragged and accused of being the third party in Aljur and Kylie's marriage, recently showed off her Nigerian boyfriend to disperse all rumours and detach herself from the issue.
"It did have some truth to it when I was just starting, because I didn't know any better back then. I always tried to do my best, but maybe I didn't fully understand acting yet," he said. "But now I'm grateful because I have a better understanding of the craft and that has fuelled me to better myself."
