Alice Chan doesn't regret failed marriage

23 Jul – Although her marriage didn't last as she hoped it would, TVB actress Alice Chan admitted that she doesn't regret her decision to tie the knot in the first place.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who sat down for an interview recently, revealed that she can never accuse her ex-husband James Yen of being the only guilty party in their failed marriage when they decided to call it quits in 2012 after five years together.

"You can't put all the responsibilities on the other party. I have my own weaknesses as well. You learn from it, and the next time when you meet the right person, you will improve your previous shortcomings," she said.

When asked of her own shortcoming, Alice said it was insufficient communication.

"You can't keep on making an effort to give someone oranges when they want to eat apples," she said.

The actress also stated that she doesn't need wealth or expensive things, and that all she really wanted and needed is to be happy and to have a good day every day.

When asked if her new beau, Dr Aldous Chan, will be able to give her what she needs, she responded simply, "I am happy. Of course it's a good day."
