Ali Lee was "AI Rhapsody" producer's sole choice
12 Aug – Producer Chan Kiu Ying recently admitted that Ali Lee was his first and sole choice to star as the titular character in his upcoming series, "AI Rhapsody".
As reported on On CC, the TVB producer who spoke about the upcoming project, shared that he was not at all worried about the previous controversy surrounding Ali's supposed political stance that reportedly led to her ousting from the sequel of her hit series.
"When it comes to politics, neither an artiste nor a producer should have a stance. You can just do your part. But her misfortune is my luck. Since she was unable to film her other series, she was able to do my series," he said with a laugh.
Asked if he is confident that Ali will be able to play the role of an AI robot in the new series, Chan stated that the actress has a lot of natural talents.
"She is creative, but this role is also quite hard to do. She cannot be too cold because AI is designed to make people happy, but she also can't be too human or it would not be believable. But she understood this completely when we were discussing the character," he said.
"AI Rhapsody" will begin filming in mid-August.
