Alfred Vargas' comeback film joins MMFF summer edition

10 Mar – "Tagpuan", the comeback vehicle for actor-politician Alfred Vargas, has been selected as one of the entries to the inaugural Metro Manila Summer Film Festival.

The news was announced via the official Instagram page of the said movie on a post that read, "[Alfred Vargas] is back on the big screen with [Shaina Magdayao] and [Iza Calzado] in a romantic drama written by Ricky Lee and directed by [Marc Alejandre]."

"TAGPUAN is an official entry to the 1st Summer Metro Manila Film Festival. Opens in cinemas April 11," it added.

Aside from "Tagpuan", other films that will be showcased at the MMFF Summer Festival include "A Hard Day", a Filipino remake of the Korean film co-starring Dingdong Dantes and John Arcilla; the Nora Aunor-starrer "Isa Pang Bahaghari", and "Love or Money" - the first collaboration between Coco Martin and Angelica Panganiban.

The MMFF summer festival's Parade of the Stars will take place on 5 April in Quezon City.
