Alessandra de Rossi: No more antagonistic roles!

The actress says that she is not inspiring anybody to be better by playing antagonist in dramas

17 Jun - Actress Alessandra de Rossi hopes to spread positive energy to her fans, which is why she will take a break from accepting antagonistic roles in dramas.

As reported on ABS-CBN News, the actress, who appeared on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" recently, stated that playing those kind of characters has turned her into a monster in the eyes of the viewers.

"It made me a monster. I was doing nothing to inspire others to be a better person," she said.

de Rossi, who is most famous for her role as Valentina, the villainess of the female superhero series, "Darna", has played antagonistic roles in more than ten dramas, both on GMA and ABS-CBN, since her debut, including "Legacy" (2012), "Pahiram Ng Sandali" (2012), and "Wish I May" (2016).

She also added that her real life personality is very different from the roles she play in dramas.

"I have actually requested to take a break from playing these roles [...]," said de Rossi, although she added that she will continue accepting other offers so she can pursue her passion in music.
