Alden Richards self-quarantines before coming home to family

27 Jul – Although GMA has made sure to implement strict protocols and safety measure to protect its staff from COVID-19, Alden Richards recently revealed that he still made it a requirement to quarantine himself before going back to his family.

As reported on GMA News, the actor, who has returned to work including co-hosting "Eat Bulaga" and "Centerstage", stated that he would only see his family once every two weeks to ensure that he is free of the coronavirus before coming home to them.

"Eat Bulaga follows strict protocols. We have a doctor there, appointed to foresee all the operations being done all throughout the day, sanitation of hands, masks. But before I go home after weeks of work on "Eat Bulaga", I'd quarantine myself because I do not want to risk it even if I don't feel sick, since sometimes COVID-19 is asymptomatic," he said.

Richards, who is also the newest ambassador of Department of Health's BIDA Solusyon campaign, said that while his immune system is fine, he doesn't want to risk being a carrier and infect those at home with lower immunity like his grandparents.
