Alden Richards excited for new movie to release

30 Apr – Although the new movie "Hello, Love, Goodbye" has yet to wrap up production, Alden Richards is just excited for the audience to see it when it's released in theatres.

As reported on PEP, the actor, who spoke about the film recently, shared that he would love for the Pinoy moviegoers to understand and see the depiction of the modern OFW (Overseas Filipino Workers), especially the ones working in Hong Kong - where the movie takes place.

"It's been a while since [Star Cinema] made an OFW movie. It's about time we're going to say hello now, what's the mood of OFWs abroad, especially in Hong Kong," he said.

Calling it a tribute to the Filipinos working in the area, Richards said that director Cathy Garcia-Molina has done a good job researching these workers prior to filming.

"[The director] flew back and forth from Hong Kong to Manila to study the culture of the Pinoy there. And the script, it's a good script, really nice," he added.

Asked how it was working with Star Cinema for the first time, the Kapuso actor said that the studio treated him the same as they did with their own stars.

"I look forward to the shooting days because of how Star Cinema treated us. They don't treat me differently just because I was from a different network," he said.
