Alden Richards congratulates Maine Mendoza for fifth anniversary
10 Jul – Celebrating Maine Mendoza's fifth year in showbiz, her former onscreen partner Alden Richards recently made a surprise by recording a voice message to wish her a happy anniversary.
As reported on Inquirer, the actor was one of the few celebrities who sent his message during the celebration that was streamed on Facebook Live, saying that he treasured everything that the two of them have been through together for the past five years.
"I'm very happy for you. Five years in showbiz, I know it has been hard for you because first of all, you are not a showbiz person. I am happy because for the love of your fans, for the love of the craft, you learned to adjust," he said.
Richards also thanked Mendoza for her friendship, for everybody that she helped, and for the hard work that she had showed.
Mendoza became popular back in 2015, when she went viral on the app Dubsmash with her lip-sync impressions, subsequently joining "Eat Bulaga" - playing the role of Yaya Dub - and being paired with Richards on the show - an onscreen partnership that the fans nicknamed AlDub.
