Airport staff sacked for comments about Steve Tam
21 Aug - A security staff at Hong Kong airport was reportedly fired after making a comment about Steve Tam, father of child performer and "America's Got Talent" contestant, Celina Tam.
As reported on Ejin Sight, the incident occurred back on 14 August, when the Tam family arrived at the airport for their flight to the United States for the next round of the aforementioned show.
Sources claimed that the security staff, who saw Steve, asked another staff on walkie talkie if the man in question is the father who is "riding on his daughter's fame".
It was reported that the said staff has been terminated following a complaint made by Celine's management, HMV Digital China Group.
When asked about the issue, HMV's chairman Stephen Shiu stated that it was not the company's attention to get anybody fired, adding that they have already accepted the staff's apology.
